Aligned with the gender mainstreaming agenda enshrined in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, UN Women supports the Government of Georgia in integrating gender data and analysis in policymaking and budgetary processes.

UN Women actively continues supporting gender mainstreaming in the education system of Georgia and closely cooperates with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth.

UN Women and the Civil Service Bureau hosted a presentation of the GIA of the Law of Georgia on Public Service. The results of the research aim to support the Government of Georgia in identifying existing gender gaps in the Law and informing legislative and policy initiatives on mainstreaming gender equality and promoting women’s leadership in public service.

On 5 July 2022, the Parliamentary Gender Equality Council presented the results of the Parliamentary Thematic Inquiry on Gender Mainstreaming in Governmental Policies to about 30 representatives of legislative and executive government, as well as development organizations.
