Regulatory Impact Assessment of ILO C183 - Maternity Protection Convention
The Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC)-Armenia Foundation and Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) NGO, in collaboration with UN Women, implemented a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) to establish a policy dialogue towards the ratification of Maternity Protection Convention, 2000 (No. 183) of the International Labour Organization in the Republic of Armenia.
Focusing on the challenges related to the lack of an effective national system for ensuring occupational risk assessments in the workplace for pregnant and breastfeeding women, this RIA provides recommendations for revising the relevant legislative and normative framework while raising public awareness and advocating for a better workplace for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
This publication was prepared in the framework of the project “Women’s Economic Empowerment in the South Caucasus”, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).
