National Study on Violence against Women in Georgia 2022
The study was conducted by UN Women in partnership with GEOSTAT within the framework of the “Ending Violence against Women and Girls in Georgia” project funded by the European Union and UN Women’s "Making Every Woman and Girl Count" programme in Europe and Central Asia (Women Count). The quantitative survey was conducted in collaboration with Geostat, and the qualitative component was provided by the team at WeResearch.
The study explored the prevalence of different forms of violence against women, its impact on women’s health and well-being, their awareness about and usage of services available to the victims of violence, the public’s attitudes towards the violence against women, its causes and consequences, and the ways to eliminate it.
