In partnership with the hypermarket chain Goodwill, UN Women gave women entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their products at a specially organized fair at Goodwill in Digomi, Tbilisi, on 23 December.

On 21 and 22 October, 160 female entrepreneurs from different regions of the country had the opportunity to present their products to visitors at the Expo Georgia Exhibition Center, sell them on the spot and establish important business contacts.

It was this constant search for innovative approaches that gave rise to the idea of preparing a culinary travel guide that combines new tourist routes with the stories of rural women employed in agritourism and the recipes of dishes they prepare.

For more than a year, the small sewing shop “Niri” has been operating in the village of Jorjiashvili in Tetritskaro Municipality, offering a variety of services to the locals.

Vivia Gurgenishvili, 30, is an entrepreneur and mother of three from Veliskikhe, a village in Eastern Georgia. Currently living in the capital, Tbilisi, Gurgenishvili is the founder of Dino, a small company that produces eco-friendly wooden furniture and toys from clean and certified raw materials with a focus on child development.

My main goal is to help people understand and accept human rights and gender equality through art. Equal rights will help people nurture their skills and talents to build a better life without fear of being left behind in many ways – to make independent career choices, be promoted for talents, ask for help, be weak, or be strong, without criticism from the community.
