Gender Assessment of Agriculture and Local Development Systems
This study provides an analysis from a gender perspective of policies, programmes and services related to agriculture and local development, as well as an assessment of the extent to which rural populations, especially women, benefit from these.
The study also includes an analysis of women’s and men’s roles in agricultural value chains and makes recommendations for development work on policy, institutional and grassroots levels. The study was commissioned jointly by UN Women, Swiss Cooperation Office for the South Caucasus (SCO) and the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).
