This brief publication captures specifically UN Women’s partnership with sports to promote zero tolerance for VAWG/DV since 2010. Its purpose is to describe joint journey through the achievements and challenges we have encountered and to share our experience with partners within the UN family, civil society and beyond.

From 2010-2015, UN Women worked with local partner organizations, the TASO Foundation and the Women’s Information Center, to promote the social mobilization of internally-displaced, conflict-affected and ethnic minority women and girls in Georgia.

The goal of the study was to identify attitude of population of Georgia, in particular, people living in Tbilisi, Kakheti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti towards violence against women and girls, as well as domestic violence, and to assess the level of awareness of victims of violence regarding existing services.
