Gender Tagging Methodology - cover

The gender tagging methodology aims to support spending agencies in identifying gender responsive state programs and subprograms. It provides tools for identifying relevant initiatives, calculating their share in the budget, and integrating the results into the electronic budget management system by marking the gender tag.

The document responds to Sustainable Development Goal indicator 5.c.1 and the principles of gender-responsive public financial management assessment (PEFA GRPFM). It was developed by UN Women in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, within the framework of the project “Women’s Leadership for Democracy in Georgia” supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and the project “Good Governance for Gender Equality in Georgia” supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
